Puncture repair
A proper puncture repair takes the tyre off the wheel, looks inside, and fits a patch-and-plug. Anything less is a temporary plug, and we do not leave those as the finished job.
When we repair
Small hole, central tread, legal tread left on the rest of the tyre, no bulge, no previous damage that rules it out. That is the job. The detail is on can a puncture be repaired, including why a rope plug on the outside is not the end of the visit.
When we fit a new tyre instead
Shoulder, sidewall, a hole that is too wide, a tyre run flat until the lining is dust, or tread below 1.6 mm. You get the replacement price before the new tyre is fitted. See mobile tyre fitting and repair or a new tyre.
Call-out, not a workshop queue
The same 24-hour number as the rest of mobile tyre repair. Say if you already tried a can of sealant. Sealant makes the inside of the tyre messy, and it can rule out a clean patch.
