Mobile tyre repair at your car

Mobile tyre repair means a technician comes to the vehicle, checks whether the puncture can be patched from the inside, and either repairs it or fits a replacement. You do not queue at a garage. Call, or send the form. The price is confirmed before any work starts.

What happens on a call-out

Four steps. None of them require you to drive on a flat.

  1. 1

    Call or send the form

Postcode, registration, and what the tyre looks like. We say if a visit is realistic.

  2. 2

    We confirm time and price

You hear the figure before anyone travels. Night and bank holidays use the same number.

  3. 3

The tyre is inspected off the rim

A legal repair is a patch from the inside. A sidewall split becomes a new tyre, not a plug.

  4. 4

You drive away, or you do not

If the spot is unsafe, or the tyre cannot be saved, we stop and say so.

Mobile tyre fitting

When a repair is the wrong answer, we fit a tyre that matches the load and speed codes already on the car. At the kerb, the driveway, or the yard.

Van tyres

Light commercial tyres, including a van that has to be back on a round. Tell us the sidewall size before we travel if you can.

Repair it, or replace it

UK tyres need at least 1.6 mm of tread across the central three-quarters of the width, all the way round. That rule sits in the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986. A patch does not restore a tyre that is already illegal, and it does not fix a cut sidewall.

The Highway Code annex on vehicle maintenance expects tyres to be at the right pressure, free of cuts and bulges, and legal on tread. If you are deciding what to do in the next ten minutes, start with what to do with a flat tyre, then repair or a new tyre.

Rope plugs, a reamer and a screw on a tyre. An outside rope plug is not a finished repair.
An outside rope plug is a get-you-moving idea, not the repair we finish a job with. The tyre comes off the wheel so the inside can be seen.
